Eric Paslay’s NICE GUY Album Available Today!
Nashville – August 14, 2020 –Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Eric Paslay delivers his long-awaited NICE GUY full studio album to fans today. The 12-song collection was produced by Eric, F. Reid Shippen and Tofer Brown and is the follow up of his Heartbeat Higher EP released earlier this summer. Get it HERE.
“I didn’t plan for the time between studio albums to be this long, but it’s not because I wasn’t working, writing and creating music,” says Eric. “Sometimes life happens in the middle and you get to bring those experiences into the music. You learn how to tell the stories better or differently. I got married and we had a baby, so it was time well spent!”
Eric recently spent some time with the Tennessean at his home in Nashville giving a tour of the tornado damage to his house sustained back in early March and sharing stories about the new music on NICE GUY. “There’s just so many flavors,” Eric said. “If someone asks me what song should you listen to on this album, well, are you eating steak? Are you going to the beach? Are you with your girl? Or are you just completely heartbroken? This album’s full of songs for every situation like that.”
American Songwriter gives a stellar review of the new music claiming NICE GUY is “one of the few new albums today deserving of a front to back listen, the crown jewel of the album is “Off the Edge Of The Summer.” Drifting along a Jackson Browne vibe with lyrics like ‘…we whispered wishes into wine bottles and we threw them into the ocean,’ this is the song most artists spend their entire careers searching for.” Digital Journal wrote the album “showcases a great deal of personality…[and] displays his growth and maturity as a singer-songwriter and as a storyteller.”
Eric shot several music videos for songs included on NICE GUY while on tour in Europe late last year.
